This is the hub of our Turkey Tribe in Austin, Texas!

TweetsGiving is a party in the spirit of Thanksgiving that will be celebrated online and at more than 40 live events across the globe, including Austin, to encourage expressions of gratitude and raise money for the re-building and expansion of a school in Arusha, Tanzania. Money raised will build new classrooms, a library, a cafeteria, and an orphanage/dormitory. 100% of funds raised will benefit the Shepherd’s Junior School.

TweetsGiving ATX

Date: November 24, 2009

Time: 6:30 – 10:30 pm

Location: Mama Fu’s, 100 Colorado Street, 78701

Parking: If you can’t find street parking, the city hall parking lot is very close and only $5. To get there, from Cesar Chavez, turn onto Lavaca Street going North. Garage immediately on your left. From garage, at corner of lavaca and Chavez, go one block East to Colorado and Chavez to get back to Mama Fu’s.

Attire: Are you kidding? This is Austin! Wear whatever makes you comfortable and grateful!

Tickets: Please purchase your tickets in advance in order to provide us with an accurate head count, and money paid online is directly deposited into the Epic Change (the organization responsible for TweetsGiving) account. Plus, it’s cheaper to buy ahead!

UPDATE: We have reduced the online ticket price to $7! So buy your tickets now, they won’t get any cheaper! Tickets purchased at the door will cost $10. If you are able to support Epic Change and TweetsGiving, we sure would appreciate it if you would be a benefactor or Top Turkey below.

Entertainment: We are pleased to announce that TweetsGiving will feature performances by

As part of Mama Fu’s sponsorship, they have been gracious enough to involve ALL of their Austin locations! So if you can’t make it downtown on Tuesday night, just go to any of Mama Fu’s locations, say TweetsGiving, and a portion of your check will benefit TweetsGiving, up to 25%!

Mama Fu’s will also contribute a percentage of gift card purchases for patrons that say TweetsGiving at point of sale.
